Online Design Publication Research Assistant, Pattern+Source

Job Description: This is a fresh approach to the art history internship experience. You will be able to see your progress published on the web, and be listed as a contributor to the publication. This position is geared towards art history majors who are interested in graphic design. This archive is more than data analysis, but a collection of stories relating to the connecting tie: pattern design. It is a cross-cultural, historical, retro, and contemporary registry that is open to the public via the web.

In addition, if you are interested you may gain understanding of real work situations through use of publishing on the web using a content management system. And if desired, you could gain experience either learning or using Photoshop and Illustrator skills to publish images on the web.

This seems geared towards an art history major who might want to feel that they are contributing to a real-life publication experience, putting your research, analysis, and writing skills to use.

Qualifications: Basic art history and/or design history knowledge. Able to do research, and analysis. Basic use of the internet. Photoshop or Illustrator experience a plus.
